Does Chimera Books Ltd Share the Information it Receives?
Businesses We Do Not Control
We work closely with our affiliated businesses. In some cases these businesses operate stores at Chimera Books or sell offerings to you at Chimera Books. In other cases, we may operate stores, provide services or sell product lines with or on behalf of these businesses. You can tell when a third party is involved in your transactions and we may share customer information related to those transactions with that third party.
Sometimes we send offers to selected groups of Chimera Books Ltd customers on behalf of other businesses, however, when we do so we do not give that business your name or address.
If the assets of Chimera Books Ltd are acquired customer information will naturally be one of the assets sold.
Protection of Chimera Books Ltd and Others
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts your information. We reveal only the first and last four digits of your credit/debit card numbers when confirming an order. Needless to say we transmit the complete card number to the appropriate card company during order processing. Beyond this we do not store credit/debit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password and your computer. Be sure to sign off when you finish using a shared computer
The Chimera Books Ltd Guarantee
At Chimera Books Ltd we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us, so you have the right to cancel an order and receive a full refund, without giving a reason, within 7 days of placing it. This applies to all our products except for download items (i.e. ebooks).
You can do so by sending an email with the subject 'Cancellation' to email@example.com, giving your reason for wanting to return your purchase. Please also state your original order number. If your order has already been despatched when we receive your cancellation we will deduct the cost of post and packaging from your refund. And if the goods have been despatched, upon receipt you must return them to us unopened and at your expense. For your protection we recommend you use a recorded delivery service. If you cancel an order that has not yet been despatched we will not of course have to deduct the cost of post and packaging from your refund.
If, however, an item is defective please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org giving a full description of the fault. If we ask you to return the product it must be sent securely wrapped in its original packaging, for a refund or replacement of that item, within 30 days of purchase.
We respect your rights under law, which allow you to withdraw from your purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered to you. This applies to all our products except for download items (i.e. ebooks).
To cancel your purchase under this cooling-off period please give the reason for the return, on the back of the delivery slip, as contract cancellation. Then package the relevant item securely and send it to us at the address above with the delivery slip so that we receive it within seven working days of the day after the date the item was delivered to you.
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is faulty. As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item together with the original postage charge. We are unable to refund any express or courier component of the postage charge.
In all cases, for your protection we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service.
